George Alex Mensah, the commissioner of police who is alleged to be at the center of the contentious leaked audio recording, was also interrogated by the NIB after the session with Bugri Naabu
NIB officials reportedly arrested the personal aide to Bugri Naabu and his receptionist in the early hours of Thursday, 20 July 2023, to assist them in their investigations.
- Following the broadcast of the content of the leaked recording on both social and mainstream media, there have been calls by certain figures in the political class for a thorough and independent investigation into the leaked recording in order to get to the bottom of the recording, identify its origin and decipher the motive behind it.
