Heath Goldfields LTD has rejected what it describes as misinformation circulating about its operations at the Bogoso-Prestea Gold Mine, insisting that its activities remain lawful, active, and in line with regulatory requirements.
In a statement issued on Wednesday(April 22), the company said recent public commentary on its operations misrepresents key facts as well as the legal and operational framework under which it operates.
“The Company rejects the allegations in circulation. They misrepresent material facts and the legal and operational framework within which the Company conducts its business,” the statement said.
Heath Goldfields expressed concern over what it called the spread of inaccurate, incomplete, and misleading information, warning that such claims have the potential to mislead workers, host communities, and the general public.
The company reiterated its commitment to transparency, noting that it will continue to communicate through proper and verifiable channels while engaging regulators, employees, and stakeholders.
According to the statement, operations at the Bogoso-Prestea mine are ongoing and being carried out under an approved Mine Development Plan, with oversight from the Minerals Commission of Ghana.
It further emphasised that all financing and operational activities are being conducted within the applicable regulatory framework, adding that the company remains focused on executing its development plans for the mine.
Heath Goldfields indicated that it will provide updates on its operational progress, community programmes, and long-term development priorities in future announcements.
The company also cautioned that it reserves the right to take action against statements it considers false, misleading, or damaging to its reputation.
