Community Police personnel stabs civilian to death at Dukwa-on-offin

The police in Upper Denkyira East District of the Central Region are on a manhunt for a community police personnel for stabbing a civilian to death at Aterchem , a suburb of Dunkwa-on-offin.

The officer by name Owusu Boateng was captured on CCTV camera stabbing the 30-year-old man Collins Dorman to death on Tuesday Evening at the victim’s residence.

The suspect is said to have had a misunderstanding with a friend to the deceased on light bill as the two stay in the same house .

The deceased is said to have sought an amicable solution to the matter by reporting the incident to the superiors of the community police personnel for redress but the approach angered the suspect who threatened to deal with him for reporting him to his superiors.

The suspect is said to have visited the home of the deceased twice on Tuesday evening ostensibly to confront him on the subject but only met him on his third attempt around 6:30pm.

A scuffle is said to have ensued between them with the suspect pulling a knife from his pocket to stab Collins Dorman and the action was duly captured on a CCTV camera in the home of the deceased.

The suspect stabbed the deceased thrice on his neck , back and head and was pronounced dead on arrival at the St. Mark Hospital at Dunkwa-on-offin.

Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect who is said to be on the run.
