GHANA: Three Persus mining workers killed in motor accident at Ayamfuri

Three workers of mining firm , Persus Mining Company Limited have perished in a gory accident this morning at Ayamfuri in the Upper Denkyira West district of the central region.

The accident happened this morning around 5:30 am while the three were on their way to work in a Toyota corolla saloon car.

The deceased have been identified as Akwasi Bacha , Frank Mensah and King Robert also know as ‘Medals’.

They were involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming heavy duty truck carrying bauxite.

The driver of the saloon car is said to have tried to over take another car on the stretch and unfortunately ended up colliding with the oncoming heavy duty truck carrying bauxite which ripped apart the Toyota corolla with all persons on board dying instantly.

Their bodies have since been deposited at the Dunkwa-on-Offin hospital for preservation.
