Vice President of Guyana leads delegation to understudy Ghana’s oil and gas sector

A delegation from the Co-operative Republic Guyana is in Ghana to understudy the countries burgeoning oil and gas sector.

The delegation which is being led by Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo today met with Ghana’s vice president Dr Mahumudu Bawumia at the Flagstaff House on Friday.

Dr Bawumia assured the delegation of Ghana’s commitment to the exchange of practical development ideas between the two countries.

“I received H.E. Bharrat Jagdeo, Vice President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, who is on a three-day official visit to Ghana.”

“Amongst other objectives, Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo and his delegation are in Ghana to learn about the country’s experiences in the oil and gas sector, with particular reference to local content and participation, the legal framework, and general best practices in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon finds.” Dr Bawumia posted n facebook.

“I assured him of Ghana’s commitment to the exchange of practical development ideas between the two countries,”

Guyana is hoping to especially learn from areas such as Ghana’s local content and participation, the legal framework, and general best practices in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon finds.
