Ghextractives.com has cited a video capturing some children at an illegal mining site in a cocoa farm in Ghana .
It is not clear when the video was taken but the children could be seen practicing the rudiments of illegal mining.
The development is worrying considering the exposure of children to such an illegal act at a tender age.
The video is coming at a time when two girls were found dead in an abandoned illegal mining pit at Denkyira Dominase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the central region.
The girls, Akua Boahemaa ,14 and Baaba Mensah ,10 got drowned in the abandoned galamsey pit full of water at the outskirt of the town on Friday ( February 19 )
A team of community members and the police on hearing the report moved in to retrieve the bodies. They have since deposited the bodies at the Dompoase Hospital Morgue for preservation.
