Ghana National Gas Limited Company held a familiarization meeting with the newly constituted Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The program formed part of the company’s annual stakeholder engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing oversight.
In her address, the CEO of Ghana Gas, Judith Adjobah Blay, thanked the Committee for prioritizing the meeting.
She emphasized the importance of open dialogue between Parliament and Ghana Gas, noting that the partnership is crucial for effective policy direction and Ghana’s energy stability.
Blay updated the Committee on recent operational achievements, including the early completion of the August plant shutdown, and outlined five new strategic focus areas guiding the company’s operations.
She also highlighted upcoming infrastructure projects such as the proposed new gas processing plant and pipeline expansions.
Chairperson of the Committee, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, commended Ghana Gas for its commitment to transparency and collaboration.
He assured the company of Parliament’s support in advancing legislation and policies that strengthen Ghana’s energy sector.
