Belinda Boamah
Belinda Boamah has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director, Business and Operations, of National Investment Bank (NIB) PLC, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the bank’s history.
Her appointment by the Board of Directors marks a significant milestone for NIB, signalling a renewed commitment to inclusive leadership, gender diversity, and institutional transformation.
With extensive experience across key areas of banking, Ms. Boamah brings a strong track record in Banking Operations, Risk Management, Treasury, Strategic Business Development, Transaction Banking, and Digital and Electronic Banking.
Prior to joining NIB, she served as Executive Director for Strategy and Growth at Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), where she led a transformative agenda that improved performance and accelerated digital innovation.
Her leadership at UMB was instrumental in driving the bank’s transition toward a more efficient, paperless operating model.
At NIB, Ms. Boamah is expected to play a critical role in strengthening business operations and advancing the bank’s strategic priorities, particularly in the areas of operational efficiency and digital transformation.
She is widely recognised for her commitment to building high-performance teams and championing diversity and inclusion within the financial sector.
