Chief Justice His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has commended the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) for its progress in managing Ghana’s mineral wealth and stressed the importance of strong institutions in building investor confidence.
The Chief Justice made the remarks during an engagement with MIIF focused on governance, institutional collaboration and investor confidence in Ghana’s mining sector.
MIIF Chief Executive Officer Justina Nelson disclosed that the Fund recorded GH¢5.43 billion in mineral royalty receipts and GH¢1.1 billion in audited profit in 2025.
She further said MIIF collected GH¢5.39 billion in mineral royalties during the first half of 2026.
The engagement provided an opportunity for discussions on strengthening institutional collaboration and governance within the mining sector, with emphasis on creating a stable environment capable of sustaining investor confidence.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie’s commendation comes as MIIF continues to play a role in managing and investing proceeds from Ghana’s mineral resources.
