Luxury Vehicles
The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) in collaboration with the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has carried out an intelligence led operation for the retrieval of various luxury vehicles suspected to have been stolen from the US and Canada.
According to EOCO, ten persons have so far been arrested in connection with the intelligence led operation.
A statement issued by EOCO on Tuesday (13 December) says 37 of such vehicles have been retrieved in some garages in Accra.
“On Friday 9 December 2022 thirty -seven (37) of such vehicles were retrieved from some garages in Accra during which ten (10) persons were arrested. The suspects have since been questioned and granted enquiry bail.”
“Meanwhile prospective car buyers are hereby advised to conduct due diligence prior to the purchase of vehicles,” the EOCO statement said.
