Dr Edwin Provencal
Former Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST) Managing Director Dr Edwin Provencal has urged students of Osu Presbyterian Senior High School (OSU PRESEC) to build their futures on knowledge, character, courage and execution.
Speaking at the school’s 70th anniversary celebration, Dr Provencal shared his personal journey from growing up on the streets of Accra as a child to leading institutional transformation at BOST.
He encouraged the students not to allow their backgrounds or circumstances to limit their ambitions, stressing that while education opens doors, personal choices, discipline and determination are also important to success.
Dr Provencal urged the students to study diligently, protect their integrity and think independently. He also encouraged them to have the courage to do what is right, even under pressure, and to develop the skills needed to solve problems and create value for society.
“Never forget where you came from, but never allow where you came from to become the boundary of where you can go,” he said in a message shared following the anniversary celebration.
He congratulated OSU PRESEC on its 70th anniversary, commending the school for its role in nurturing leaders.
The address focused on the importance of education, personal discipline and responsible choices in shaping young people’s futures.
