The Ghana Medical Association has called on its members to continue with the provision of full service ahead of the planned nationwide strike by organized Labour.
This is in reference to plan by Organized Labour to embark on a nationwide strike to protest against illegal mining across the country.
A notice signed by GMA president Dr Frank Serebour on Tuesday (8 October) said it is however in solidarity with Organized labour in the fight against illegal mining.
”The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has not declared roadmap for an industrial action. Therefore, all members are expected to continue providing full services without interruptions.”
”The GMA however, is in solidarity with the Organized Labour in this fight against Galamsey.The National Executive Council (NEC) will give further information, when necessary,” the notice said.
