John Mahama rubbishes 2020 election petition ruling by supreme court

The Flagberaer of the National Democratic John Mahama has rubbished the 2020 December election ruling by Ghana’s supreme Court.

Adressing a news conference in Accra after the ruling Mr Mahama described the ruling as an affront to Ghana’s democracy.

He accused the Supreme Court of deliberately shielding the chairperson of the electoral commission.

Ghana’s Supreme court has unanimously dismissed the 2020 election petition filed by the NDC Presidential candidate John Mahama .

The long-awaited verdict confirms Akufo Addo’s victory as the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate during last December’s presidential election.

In delivering his judgement the court said the petitioner failed to prove his case hence the decision to dismiss the petition.

However Mr Mahama said he totally disagrees with todays ruling by the supreme court.

He says the actions of the EC and the Supreme court should give Ghanaians a cause for worry.
