The Minerals Commission has refuted claims suggesting the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources has granted lincense to some companies to prospect for minerals in the country’s forest reserves.
It follows allegations made by the Member of Parliament for Tamale North Alhassan Suhini that the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor had granted lincense to some firms to prospect for minerals in forest reserves.
A statement issued by the Minerals Commission on Wednesday(17 August) said the allegations are false and challenged any individual with such evidence to come forward.
