The MTN Ghana Foundation will award 500 scholarships to brilliant but needy students and teachers in public tertiary institutions in October 2026 as part of its commitment to education, youth empowerment and national development.
The scholarships are intended to ease financial barriers and enable beneficiaries to pursue their academic goals, enhance their professional development and realise their potential.
Of the 500 scholarships, 300 will be awarded to students, while 200 will support teachers pursuing academic and professional advancement.
The award ceremonies will be held in two locations. The southern sector ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, while the northern sector ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus in Kumasi.
The ceremonies will celebrate the beneficiaries and highlight the role of education in Ghana’s development.
The initiative also forms part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary, commemorating three decades of connecting people, expanding opportunities.
