
A 53 year old palm wine tapper, Nobert Ataafi has met his untimely death on Wednesday, March 17, in Alavanyo Wudidi in the Volta region over palm wine.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was exchanging words with the alleged killer, one Akakpovi Tsatu at his (the deceased’s) palm wine farm when he refused to give out his wine free of charge to Akakpovi.
The eyewitnesses noted that, the 52 year old Akakpovi who is popularly known as Kodzovi Komla got angry and opened fire on his fellow farmer after which he took to his heels.

Asaase News understands that, after a couple of hours of being fugitive, some angry residents went in search of him, arrested and physically assaulted him after which they handed him over to the Kpando Divisional Police Command.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at Margret Marquart Chatholic Morgue in Kpando whilst the culprit is under the Kpando Divisional Police Command assisting in an investigation.
