The Minister of Energy, John Abdulai Jinapor, has hosted a delegation from the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo), led by its newly appointed Managing Director, Abiodun Bodunrin.
Mr. Bodunrin succeeds Michelle Burket as head of the company.
The meeting, held in Accra, focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly the strategic role of WAPCo in Ghana’s energy sector and avenues for deepening future collaboration.

Minister Jinapor underscored the importance of WAPCo’s operations in ensuring reliable and affordable energy supply to power Ghana’s economy.
He expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue to build on the company’s contribution to regional energy security.

WAPCo, on its part, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghana’s energy sector goals, pledging to work closely with government and stakeholders to advance sustainable energy solutions.
The engagement highlights government’s ongoing efforts to foster stronger partnerships with regional energy players to enhance stability, efficiency, and investment in Ghana’s power sector.
