The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) will shift its daily local gold price announcement times by one hour from Monday October 26 to Saturday March 27, 2027, following the end of British Summer Time.
In a compliance notice dated October 25, GoldBod said the adjustment reflects the change in the time difference between Ghana and the United Kingdom, which affects the timing of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Gold Price benchmarks.
Under the revised schedule, the daily local gold price based on the LBMA Gold AM benchmark will be announced at 10:30 a.m., instead of 9:30 a.m.
The announcement based on the LBMA Gold PM benchmark will move from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
GoldBod has directed all licensed gold buyers to observe the revised times when undertaking gold purchase transactions from October 26.
The Board said all other rules, procedures and requirements governing local gold price determination and trading would remain unchanged.
The previous schedule is expected to resume when the United Kingdom returns to British Summer Time on March 28, 2027. GoldBod said it would communicate any further operational guidance where necessary.
