Workers of Atlantic Lithium on a May Day float at Kasoa
The Community Relations and Social Performance Manager at Atlantic Lithium, Dr Millicent Abigail Aning-Agyei has described workers of the company as crucial to the companies success.
She was speaking to Ghextractives.com after participating in this years May Day Celebration on the theme ” Election 2024: The Role of Workers and Social Partners in Securing Peaceful Elections for National Development” on Wednesday(1 May) at Ofankor a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region.
“Atlantic Lithium acknowledges its employees as being the fulcrum of its organizational success so far.
“We appreciate and cherish our workers for their hard work, dedication and commitment to achieving our company goals. As a company, we respect the rights of our workers and embrace diversity in our activities and operations.”
“On the occasion of May Day, we celebrate our workers for their tireless efforts. We encourage all our employees to keep up the great work. Happy Workers’ Day,” she said.
Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan who was the guest of honour congratulated workers for their hard work and contribution to the development of the region.
“The government acknowledges the invaluable contribution workers make to the development of this country. Let me use this occasion to congratulated Ghanaian workers especially those in the Central Region for their hard work and dedication to service over the years,” she said.
“We admire and cherish your resolve to partner the government towards our collective agenda for ensuring improved quality of life for our citizenry.”
“The government is always ready to listen to you and to dialogue for mutually rewarding outcomes and to foster public private partnership for the betterment of the nation, I urge you therefore to keep up the good work to ensure peaceful and prosperous Ghana,” she added.

The company is advancing the Ewoyaa Project, a significant lithium spodumene concentrate discovery on track to become Ghana’s first lithium-producing mine. Over 95 percent of the company’s employees are Ghanaian; many of which are from the Central Region.
Atlantic Lithium is already one of the leading taxpayers and employers in the Central Region; however, the company expects to deliver many more long-standing benefits to the region as it advances the Ewoyaa Project toward production.
