The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mohamed Naser Toure Mahama, has been reported dead.
Sources close to his family and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) confirmed the development on Sunday though details surrounding his death remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
Born on March 17, 1965, in Nima, Accra, Mr Mahama was a seasoned politician who entered Parliament in 2012 on the ticket of the NDC. He retained the seat in subsequent elections, including a decisive victory in 2024, where he secured over 70 per cent of the votes.
He was a businessman by profession and held a BSc in Marketing from Central University, a Diploma in Governance from GIMPA, and an MBA from Doshisha University, Japan.
