Tensions are simmering at the Bulk Energy Storage and and Transportation (BEST) , formerly Known as Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) following reports of internal wrangling involving the company’s Head of Legal, Brigitte Mamle Ainuson, and the Managing Director.
Ainuson, who was recently seconded to the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) as Head of Legal, is said to be dissatisfied with the development — a move some insiders describe as a soft landing after her predecessor was summarily dismissed from the same role.
Despite retaining a high-level position within the state enterprise structure, Ainuson is alleged to have launched a series of verbal threats against the BOST MD, claiming she would leverage political connections — specifically invoking the name of a relative of the MD, one “Uncle Kirk” — to orchestrate his removal.
“What we’re witnessing is not only shocking but deeply disappointing,” said one source familiar with the situation. “You’ve been spared a dismissal and given a new role — and instead of showing gratitude, you’re turning around to threaten the very people who made that possible?”
The development has raised eyebrows among political watchers and within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), where some members are calling for a de-escalation of tensions and a return to professional conduct.
