ECG Taskforce
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will undertake a nationwide mass revenue mobilisation exercise from November 9 to November 27, 2026, targeting customers with outstanding electricity bills.
The exercise will cover all categories of customers, including residential, commercial and industrial consumers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
In a notice to customers, ECG said special teams would monitor the exercise and apprehend and prosecute customers who illegally connect to the electricity network, interfere with the operation or undertake illegal self-reconnection after being disconnected.
The power distributor has urged customers with outstanding bills to settle their arrears before the exercise to avoid disconnection and the payment of reconnection fees.
Customers who are unable to access their electricity bills have been advised to visit the nearest ECG office for assistance.
ECG has encouraged customers to use its regular payment channels, including the ECG Mobile App, to settle their bills.
