Ken Ofori-Atta and Kissi Agyebeng
The High Court (Criminal Division) has dismissed an application by former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta seeking to strike out an arrest warrant issued by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Mr. Ofori-Atta had argued that the OSP unlawfully obtained the warrant and urged the court to quash all related proceedings, including an Interpol Red Notice alert issued against him.
However, the court, in its ruling delivered this morning, found no merit in his application and dismissed it in its entirety.
The decision marks a major legal setback for the former minister, who is facing allegations of corruption and abuse of office stemming from his tenure as head of the Finance Ministry.
