Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has met the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to discuss the government’s New Economy programme.
Dr Ato Forson said the NDPC, led by its Chairman, Dr Nii Moi Thompson, will play a critical role in tracking progress and assessing the implementation of the programme.

He said the government’s economic agenda goes beyond achieving economic stability, with job creation and building an economy powered by domestic production among its key objectives.
“Stability is only the beginning. Our goal is to create jobs, build an economy powered by what Ghana produces and ensure prosperity for all,” Dr Ato Forson said.

The engagement focused on the role of the NDPC in monitoring progress and assessing the implementation of the New Economy programme.
