PETROSOL Platinum Energy PLC is preparing to participate in the 2026 COMAC PETFUN Games scheduled for Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The company’s preparations were discussed when members of its planning committee met representatives of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) on Thursday, September 3, to receive updates on the two-day sporting event.
COMAC said 34 companies have so far registered for the games, with team matchups completed through balloting and the venue confirmed ready to host the event.
The games will feature football, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, sack race, lime and spoon, as well as other sporting and electronic games.
COMAC said its officials and core organising team would be deployed to ensure the smooth coordination of the event.
Fair play and player eligibility were also highlighted, with COMAC indicating that stricter verification measures would be applied to prevent the participation of non-staff or professional players. Participating companies found in breach of the rules could face disqualification.
Health and safety measures will also be in place, with two ambulances, medical personnel and the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) expected to be on standby throughout the event. Basic medical screening will also be available to participants.
For PETROSOL, the games provide an opportunity to promote employee wellbeing, teamwork and stronger relationships among players in Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.
The company said its team is ready to participate in the competition and pursue honours across the various disciplines.
