Indigenous oil marketing giant Star Oil has once again demonstrated its dominance in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector, achieving a record-breaking sale of 2.6 million litres of fuel across its 247 stations in a single day on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Announcing the milestone with the exclamation “We Did It Again!”, the company said the achievement was made possible by the loyalty of its customers, affectionately called Starsavers.
This latest record comes on the back of a strong performance in the first half of 2025, during which Star Oil sold over 403 million litres of fuel and paid more than GHC 1.13 billion in taxes and statutory levies, according to data validated by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
The company’s contributions cover a wide range of fiscal obligations, including custom duties, the Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund (UPPF), the Price Stabilisation Levy, Primary Distribution, corporate income tax, and employee-related taxes such as PAYE.
Operating 247 service stations nationwide and employing over 2,500 direct staff, Star Oil has built its brand around affordability, quality service, and national development.
Its Kotobabi branch and other outlets continue to attract loyal customers across the country.
“Every drop counts,” the company reiterated, reaffirming its commitment to expanding its footprint while ensuring compliance, transparency, and service to the Ghanaian people. With 80 million litres in sight, Star Oil said it remains determined to keep fueling Ghana’s growth story.
