The Role
We have an excting and unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Human Resource Advisor to provide high quality generalist HR support and advice to Newmont sites across Australia including the Perth regional office. Partner with regional HR Teams in the areas of HR transactional work, Talent Acquisition, Remuneration & Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Inclusion & Diversity and HR Technology to deliver desired business results.
This role provides the opportunity for a hybrid roster allowing onsite time, then flexible remote work in Perth with team collaboration in the Subiaco office. You will work a 9 day fortnight with 5 days working in Perth and 4 days FIFO at our Tanami site. Travel to other sites will also be required at times.
In This Role You Will:
- Provide guidance and advice on HR procedures including but not limited to; Australia Leave Procedure, Parental Leave, Benefits programs.
- Provide advice to leaders on general employee role changes and employee movements.
- Provide advice and coaching to leaders on performance management, flexible work practices, investigations and resulting disciplinary actions.
- Undertake project work to support the operational and strategic goals of the business.
- Support employee on-boarding and termination processes.
The Person:
- You will be tertiary qualified in Human Resources or extensive work related experience
- You have a minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position
- You demonstrate familiarity and competence with the administration of human resources managementVACANCY: Talent Management Specialist – Inclusion and Diversity
- You have sound knowledge of employment law
- You have an excellent ability to communicate (orally, writing and reading) in English
- You are computer literate (Word, Excel and HR data bases)
- You have the ability to think strategically, to express ideas clearly, good analytical and problem solving skills
- You have effective negotiation and influencing skills
- You manage your time effectively, be task orientated and able to set goals
- You have high attention to detail whilst maintaining an organisational perspective
- You are able to show initiative and have the ability to work independently
- You have the ability to work harmoniously with persons of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- You can work in a team and have good interpersonal skills
- You maintain confidentiality and privacy
