There have been a fresh clash between students of University Hall ‘Katanga’ and Unity Hall ‘Continental’. of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The students vandalized cars and other property in Thursday’s a clash
It is not clear what sparked the clash but Luv News sources say residents of one of the halls attempted a push back of the other during a procession.
A Police team had to intervene to avert further damage to property.

In September last year, the university authorities directed students to vacate the school premises after a similar clash .
The directive issued by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah was due to intelligence gathered by the security service that some groups of students are planning to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the school on the eve of vacation, September 17.
According to the press statement dated September 15, this directive has been put in place to, “ensure that peace and sanity are maintained on the KNUST campus and that students leave on vacation day to their homes in peace.”
