The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) is set to support an African youth mentorship initiative being championed by veteran Nigerian actor and African screen legend Pete Edochie.
Edochie paid a courtesy call on GoldBod Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi during his visit to Ghana to launch the African Legacy Project, which comprises a book, documentary film and an African Youth Mentorship Initiative.

The mentorship programme is expected to reach about 500,000 young people across Africa, according to information accompanying the project.

Gyamfi welcomed the opportunity for GoldBod to support the initiative, saying it aligns with the Board’s Special Intervention Programme and its focus on social impact and economic empowerment.
GoldBod’s work is also referenced in Edochie’s new book, which highlights Ghana’s efforts to ensure that its gold resources contribute to national development.

The engagement brings together GoldBod’s focus on economic empowerment and Edochie’s proposed continent-wide youth mentorship effort, with the initiative seeking to inspire and support young Africans.
