Three people have been confirmed dead while 20 others sustained injuries following a fatal road crash at Odumasi Ohene Nkwanta along the Kumasi–Accra Highway.
The accident, which occurred on Monday morning, involved a Mitsubishi Outlander with registration number DV G8180 and a Benz Sprinter with registration number GE 6024-22.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), rescue crews responded swiftly to the scene after receiving a distress call at about 7:55 a.m. on May 11, 2026.
Firefighters rescued several victims who were trapped in the wreckage and assisted in transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were later handed over to the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service for further investigations into the cause of the crash.
