Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Sulemana Yusif, has reaffirmed the Government of Ghana’s commitment to supporting private sector investment and industrial expansion, assuring the Lagata Group of Companies of the government’s readiness to back its growth plans in the country.
Speaking during a two-day working visit to the company’s operations in Lagos, Nigeria, Yusif said strengthening partnerships with private investors remains key to accelerating industrial growth, promoting value addition and creating sustainable jobs in Ghana.
The Deputy Minister praised Lagata Group’s integrated business model, describing it as a blueprint for sustainable industrial development.
He noted that the company has successfully connected its diverse operations, including transportation, processing, packaging and natural resource development, into a single value chain.
According to him, the model allows the group’s subsidiaries to complement one another, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
Hon. Yusif commended the company for its strategic approach to business development and reiterated the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investors whose activities contribute to economic growth, industrialisation and employment creation.
The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the government and private sector players as Ghana seeks to attract investment and expand value-added industries.
