Parts of Hohoe in the Volta Region were affected by flooding about eight hours ago, with the Hohoe Zongo and Picnic areas among the communities impacted.
The flooding occurred around a bridge in the area, where water overflowed onto roads and surrounding areas, affecting movement within the affected communities.
The situation created difficulties for motorists, pedestrians and other road users.
The Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Prosper Kumi, together with engineers, visited the affected areas to assess the situation and consider measures to address the flooding.

Residents are calling for urgent attention to the affected area to help prevent further flooding and improve safety for people using the roads and living in the communities.
