Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana has inducted a new Executive Committee for the 2026/2027 term, with Adisa Amanor-Wilks taking up the role of Senior Communications and Diaspora Relations Coordinator.
The induction ceremony was held during WiPR Ghana’s end-of-year networking event, “PR in the Park,” on December 13, 2025, at Memory Place in Haatso, Accra.
In her new role, Adisa Amanor-Wilks is expected to play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s communications strategy and deepening engagement with Ghanaian public relations professionals in the diaspora.
Her appointment forms part of the new leadership team tasked with advancing professional development, mentorship and leadership opportunities for women in public relations and strategic communications over the next two years.
The induction marked the transition from the outgoing leadership led by Joyce Sackitey Ahiadorme, who reflected on her tenure and expressed confidence in the incoming executives.
She said the organisation had made significant progress in strengthening its programmes and positioning itself as a leading platform for learning, networking and leadership development for women in communications.
The newly sworn-in Executive Committee is led by Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny as President, with Ohenewaa Brown serving as Vice President. Other members include Gwendy Tetteh as Finance Coordinator, Deborah Bonney as Events Coordinator, Gloria Apprey as Communications Coordinator, and Adisa Amanor-Wilks overseeing Senior Communications and Diaspora Relations.
Addressing members at the event, President Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny said the new leadership would build on the gains made by the outgoing administration while expanding opportunities for women practitioners and students in the communications field.
She indicated that the committee would prioritise thought leadership, capacity building and increased national, continental and global visibility for the network.
The “PR in the Park” event provided a relaxed and engaging platform for members to reflect on the year’s achievements while ushering in the new leadership team.
