Atlantic Lithium marked this year’s International Women’s Day by hosting an inspiring mentorship and networking event for over 470 second and third-year female students of Methodist Senior High School in Saltpond.
The event, held under the theme “Mentorship and Networking: Supporting the Next Generation of Women in Mining,” aimed to encourage young women from the Ewoyaa catchment area to consider careers in the mining industry.
The students had the opportunity to hear from several female professionals within Atlantic Lithium, as well as Ghana’s first female geologist, Mrs. Alexandra Amoako-Mensah.

The speakers shared their experiences navigating the mining sector, which remains heavily male-dominated, and provided valuable insights into the opportunities available for women in the industry.
Atlantic Lithium reaffirmed its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion, highlighting the importance of supporting and empowering young women to break barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Through mentorship and networking, the company hopes to inspire the next generation of female leaders in Ghana’s mining sector.
The event was well received by the students, who engaged with the speakers and expressed enthusiasm about pursuing careers in mining.

Atlantic Lithium’s initiative aligns with broader efforts to increase female participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-related industries, ensuring a more inclusive future for Ghana’s mining sector.
