The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) is projecting an increase in the prices of petroleum products at the pumps from Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
According to COPEC, petrol is expected to increase by 4.24%, while diesel is projected to rise by 10.23% in the second pricing window of September 2026.
Based on the projections, petrol is expected to sell at about GHC16.26 per litre, while diesel could rise to approximately GHC19.07 per litre from Wednesday.
COPEC also projects that Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will sell at GHC15.32 per kilogramme during the period.
The projected increases are based on developments in international petroleum prices and other market factors that influence domestic fuel prices.
The new prices are expected to take effect from Wednesday, September 16, 2026, subject to the final price adjustments by the various Oil Marketing Companies.
