Gold Fields has outlined key details on the transition of the Damang Mine to the Government of Ghana, as the mining lease approaches its expiry on April 18, 2026.
The company says the process is progressing in collaboration with state institutions to ensure operational continuity, job protection, and stability for host communities, while reaffirming that all decisions regarding the mine’s future remain solely with the government.
