The 2025/26 batch of National Service Personnel at the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has handed over a refurbished and fully equipped library to the Mampong School for the Deaf to support teaching and learning at the institution.
The project was formally commissioned at a ceremony at the school, led by GRIDCo’s Director of Human Resources, Isaac I. Mumuni, and a delegation of staff and National Service Personnel led by Perez Kwame Ofori.

The initiative forms part of the batch’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for the 2025/26 service year.
The Headmistress of the school, Madam Philomina Kakra Buckman, expressed appreciation to GRIDCo and the National Service Personnel for the support, saying the facility would improve students’ learning experience.

Students at the school also performed during the ceremony, including a play depicting the condition of the space before its transformation and its new look as a refurbished library.
The project is expected to provide students with an improved space and resources to support their learning.
