MIIF CEO Justina Nelson (appearing before PAC)
The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) has rejected what it describes as the “deliberate and misleading” circulation of an audio clip from the appearance of its Chief Executive Officer, Justina Nelson, before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
In a statement issued by MIIF’s Corporate Affairs and External Relations Unit, the Fund said portions of the CEO’s comments during the PAC hearing on October 29, 2025, were being taken out of context to falsely suggest that she justified audit infractions recorded in the 2024 financial year—particularly the GH¢11 million expenditure on travel and transport.
MIIF clarified that Mrs. Nelson’s remarks had no connection to the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the CEO’s comments at PAC… were strictly related to the 2023 financial period,” the statement emphasised.
“Any attempt to link the two is misleading, mischievous, and clearly intended to malign the current leadership of the Fund,” it added.
MIIF urged the public to disregard such distortions, stressing that they do not reflect the facts.
The Fund reaffirmed that its management remains focused on responsibly investing mineral royalties in line with its mandate to secure long-term value for the country.
