MultiChoice Ghana has clarified that it has not agreed to reduce subscription prices for its DStv service, despite ongoing engagements with the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.
In a statement issued on Friday, 5 September 2025, the pay-TV operator responded to comments made by the Minister for Communications Technology and Innovation,Samuel Nartey George, regarding discussions on DStv pricing.
“We continue to engage with the Minister in a bid to find an amicable solution that is beneficial for all parties involved but does not jeopardise the viability of the DStv service,” the company said.
MultiChoice further stated that it would fully participate in the government’s established Working Committee but stressed that no agreement had been reached on reducing prices.
The clarification comes amid public debate over the affordability of pay-TV services in Ghana, with many consumers calling for regulatory interventions to ease subscription costs.
