The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, engaged key private sector players at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Wednesday, providing a platform for dialogue on the prevailing business climate, sector-specific challenges, and proposed solutions.
The meeting brought together prominent Ghanaian entrepreneurs from diverse industries, including energy, oil and gas, logistics, and finance. Among the participants were Thomas Svanikier, founder of Svani Group and co-founder of Fidelity Bank; Kofi Amoa-Abban, Group CEO of Rigworld Group; Joana Gyan Cudjoe, founder and CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Limited; Philip Tieku, CEO of Star Oil; and Daniel McKorley, founder of McDan Group.
During the private engagement with 11 business moguls, His Majesty listened to the challenges facing their respective sectors and explored opportunities for growth and innovation.
The discussions ranged from investment and operational challenges in oil and gas, to mining sector dynamics, logistics efficiency, and financial sector support for entrepreneurship.
With his moral authority and influence, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II intends to engage government stakeholders to address the highlighted issues, aiming to create an enabling environment for private sector growth and sustainable economic development in Ghana.
