Prophet ElBernard and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong
Founder and General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, has announced a temporary break from public teaching, preaching, and pulpit ministry following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries.
The decision comes after the prophet issued a public apology over prophetic declarations he made ahead of the primaries, which did not align with the final outcome. Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerged as the leading candidate, contrary to an earlier prophecy by Prophet ElBernard that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win.
In an accountability statement released on Saturday, the prophet said he had chosen, “in humility and accountability,” to take a short and intentional pause from making public prophetic declarations, particularly those related to national and political matters.
He further explained that, in the spirit of responsibility, he has voluntarily stepped back from pulpit ministry to allow time for reflection, prayer, counsel, and the strengthening of accountability in how prophetic revelations are received, interpreted, and communicated.
Prophet ElBernard stressed that the decision does not mark an end to his calling or ministry. He said he remains committed to personal prayer, study, and quiet pastoral responsibilities, while intentionally realigning himself toward growth, integrity, and discernment.
“I value the trust of the people I serve, and I do not take it lightly,” he noted, expressing appreciation for prayers, patience, and understanding during what he described as a season of reflection.
