Martha Karikari Asamoah and Augustine Opoku
Relationships can serve as the channel through which one finds love or a lifetime partner depending on how it goes.
However this could sometimes turn sour if the relationship becomes toxic and life threatening.
The above narrative could be likened to the story of Martha and Augustine whose toxic relationship led to suffering an acid attack.
Augustine Opoku met her one-time girlfriend Abigail back in school at Adu Gyamfi Senior High School in the Ashanti Region in 2016.
Abigail had to stopped schooling in the course of the relationship due to financial constraint. Augustine subsequently offered to help Abigail fulfill her ambition of becoming a nurse by helping her to return back to school.
However four years down the lane, Augustine decided to end the relationship. but that did not go down well with Abigail.
Abigail however contracted someone to pour acid on Augustine which has left his face disfigured. The culprit has been jailed for 10-years whiles Abigail is still on trial.
Martha Karikari Asiamah who also appeared on the same programme shared a similar experience.
She also happened to be in a relationship with Prince which was fraught with mistrust and insecurity on the part of the latter. The outcome is that she suffered an acid attack.
