Newmont Africa has appointed Ing. Alex Kofi Annin as the General Manager of Newmont Africa’s Ahafo South Mine.
Alex is an experienced miner with strong leadership skills and demonstrable operational performance, which has progressively improved the mine’s safety and productivity culture.
Alex joined Newmont Africa in 2007, progressed into the Mine Operations Superintendent position, was appointed Open Pit Mine Manager, and then made the Underground Mine Manager at the Subika Underground Mine.
His focus on safety and productivity has driven a step change in the Ahafo South Mine’s safety performance; an achievement recognized within the global Newmont organization.
