The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it will intensify its revenue mobilisation exercise throughout the month of December, including during the Christmas holidays, as part of efforts to clear all outstanding arrears before the end of the year.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the power distributor said the exercise aims to “mop up all arrears in the system” by December 31, 2025. As a result, the nationwide operation will target all categories of customers who owe ECG.
The company advised customers in arrears to make payments promptly through the usual channels, especially the ECG Mobile App, to avoid disconnection during the festive period.
ECG indicated that ensuring customers settle their outstanding bills would “enable them enjoy the Christmas festivities” without service interruptions.
To safeguard the public from imposters, ECG stressed that all revenue mobilisation staff will carry valid company identity cards. Customers have been urged to inspect these IDs before granting personnel access to their premises.
The utility company says the intensified December operation is part of efforts to improve efficiency, recover revenue, and enhance service delivery.
