The Chief Executive Officer of Mac Partners, Seth Quaye has called for the development of a comprehensive national strategy for entrepreneurial development in Ghana.
Such a strategy according to Quaye must be forward-thinking and inclusive, spotlighting opportunities, facilitating access to capital, and pave the way for growth and innovation.
He was speaking at the official opening of the 17th Edition of the West African Mining and Power Conference and Exhibition (WAMPOC/WAMPEX) on Wednesday(5 June), at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra.
“Partnerships lie at the heart of our approach to sustainable growth. Whether through joint ventures, strategic alliances, or technical partnerships, collaboration is essential to achieving our shared objectives.
“Together, we can create an ecosystem that fosters innovation, empowers local enterprises, and drives economic prosperity. However, to truly harness the potential of local businesses, we must go beyond ad-hoc initiatives and develop a comprehensive national strategy for entrepreneurial development.”
“Such a strategy must be forward-thinking and inclusive, spotlighting opportunities, facilitating access to capital, and paving the way for growth and innovation,” Quaye said.
On his part the president of the Ghana Chamber of Mines Michael Edem Akafia said events such as WAMPOC/WAMPEX have a 40% conversion rate for turning prospects into deals.
