One person has been confirmed dead and three others injured following a road traffic accident at Owura Twum, off the Kibi–Suhum Road, on Monday, January 12, 2026.
The Suhum Municipal Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to the incident at 9:43 a.m., deploying a seven-member rescue crew led by ASTNO Kissiedu. The team arrived at the scene at 10:15 a.m..
According to the GNFS, one trapped deceased casualty was retrieved from an Opel Vectra saloon car with registration number GT 8521-N.
The rescue crew also facilitated the transportation of three injured victims to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical treatment.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the crash was caused by a rear tyre burst, which caused the vehicle to somersault and land upside down in the bush.
In total, four casualties were recorded, comprising one male and three females. The fatality was identified as one female.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the Ghana Police Service at the scene for preservation and further investigations.
