John Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 72 individuals for appointment as District Chief Executives (DCEs), pending approval from their respective District Assemblies.
A statement issued on March 26 by the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, confirmed that the nominations are in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Article 20(1) of the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936).
The nominees have been selected from various regions across the country as follows:

Volta Region – 18 nominees

Savannah Region – 5 nominees

The nominated individuals will undergo vetting and confirmation processes by their respective District Assemblies in line with legal requirements.
