The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) has partnered with the Dzidula Pink Foundation to promote breast cancer awareness, encourage early detection and address stigma surrounding the disease.
The partnership was marked by a breast cancer awareness initiative dubbed COMAC Goes Pink, held on Friday, October 16, 2026, under the theme “Beyond the Diagnosis: Support, Strength and Hope.”
The initiative focused on the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer while recognising the emotional and social challenges faced by people diagnosed with the disease and their families.

As part of the programme, medical professionals from the Dzidula Pink Foundation facilitated an educational session, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with participants.
The engagements provided an opportunity to deepen participants’ understanding of breast cancer, address concerns, dispel misconceptions and encourage open conversations about the disease.

COMAC also donated GH¢10,000 to the Dzidula Pink Foundation to support its work in breast cancer awareness and assistance for people affected by the disease.
Through the initiative, the two organisations highlighted the importance of collective action in promoting awareness, reducing stigma and creating a supportive environment for individuals and families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis.

The programme underscored the need to look beyond the medical diagnosis to recognise the personal experiences of those affected and the importance of support, compassion and understanding.
