The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has successfully rescued a dog that was trapped in a well at Amamorley Canada Junction in Accra following a distress call received on January 20, 2025.
According to the Service, a three-member rescue team led by Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO I) Nana Kobina Biney was promptly dispatched to the scene and arrived within minutes of receiving the alert.
Using standard rescue procedures, the team safely retrieved the dog from the well without incident. The operation was completed successfully, with no injuries recorded.
The Ghana National Fire Service commended the quick response and professionalism of the rescue team, reaffirming its commitment to protecting lives and property, including animal rescue operations when required.
