About 14 construction workers have been rescued in critical condition after a building collapsed at the premises of the Architectural Engineering Group at Roman Ridge in Accra earlier today.
Emergency response teams from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Headquarters are leading ongoing rescue efforts at the scene.
The victims, who were pulled out from the rubble after hours of intense operation, have been rushed to both the 37 Military Hospital and the Ridge Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The cause of the collapse remains unclear, but GNFS officials have cordoned off the area and are working closely with police and medical services to ensure public safety.
